Catering

Sodexo Magic, UIC's contracted caterer, must provide catering for all UIC Student Centers and Student Services building events.

Sodexo Magic provides various menu options, including snacks, boxed lunches, formal dinners, and more.

Policies and Procedures

• A meeting room must be reserved and confirmed before placing a catering order. Catering cannot submit your order for service without a completed room reservation.
• In accordance with State and Local Health Department regulations, guests or hosts are not allowed to remove food items from the catering site.
• UIC Catering Services must provide catering to all UIC Student Centers and Student Services Building facilities.
• Alcohol Service: Alcohol may be served in compliance with the Guidelines set forth by the University of Illinois Board of Trustees and campus policy. A "Request for Alcoholic Beverage Service" may be obtained from the Meetings and Conferences Office located in the Student Centers. The form must be completed and submitted for approval to the Meetings and Conferences Catering Liaison when the catering/bartender order is submitted to UIC Catering Services.
  The "Request for Alcoholic Beverage Service" must also be completed when using the Dean ′ Room Restaurant in the Behavioral Sciences Building, which UIC Dining Services operates.
• The Student Catering Guide was developed for use only by Registered Student Organizations that need to provide catering for their meetings and other student activities.
